Growth Marketing

We’re old friends with the team at Steeped Coffee (and big fans of their products). We were thrilled when they asked us to partner with them to start their growth marketing practice.  

We started off by working through our growth marketing strategic process; 

  • Identifying their main competitors and comprarers

  • Audit the digital marketing funnels for Steeped and their competitors / comparers

  • Develop an iterative creative strategy for growth marketing through paid social and unique landing pages

  • Finalize a strategy and implementation for SEM / SEO marketing

  • Develop new Steeped paid social ad creative and audience targets. 

  • Deploy the campaign, measure, and optimize

Once we completed our process we developed a multi-quarter plan ‘crawl, walk, run’ to get Steeped Coffee to their initial goals. 

Within a month we were able to get to 1.25x ROAS across Facebook & Instagram ads! 

We then started building out more advanced creative, audience targeting, and landing pages, then expanded our prospecting targeting and iterated on our retargeting campaigns. The campaign grew their marketing month over month very quickly. 

At 6 months into our partnership the team at Steeped Coffee got the amazing opportunity to be part of ‘Ellen’s Favorite Things’ for their winter season. We expanded our targeting to better take advantage of the Ellen audience, and used social listening tools to target audiences that Ellen’s influencers were engaging with. 

Soon after, Steeped Coffee partnered with influencer Emma Chamberlain to create her own branded coffee products. We worked closely with the marketing team at Steeped Coffee to ensure Emma’s audiences were seeing her products first, but also learning about the amazing variety of coffee offerings Steeped Coffee has as a brand too.  

Results

We had a fantastic time working with the entire Steeped Coffee team and they make a helluva cup of coffee!

  • Within 2 months we achieved an ROAS of higher than 1.5x

  • At the end of 12 months we had an average ROAS of 5x

  • We saw month-over-month positive growth in sales and traffic to Steeped Coffee’s landing pages, and a big bump in organic search traffic
