Clash Royale League 2018

Supercell was ready to take their eSports experience to the next level with a totally new streaming league built around their smash-hit game Clash Royale. Supercell needed help developing fun, exciting ways to build and maintain an audience on their new Clash Royale League Youtube channel, and they needed help driving conversation and engagement across other key social channels to spread the word and excitement around the inaugural League that would be streamed exclusively on Youtube. 

Create & Amplify content to boost visibility and discoverability of the tournament across all social channels. 

We worked very closely with the amazing eSports team at Supercell to pull together the best possible content categories so we could share frequently 4-5 times per day during the 2 month long tournament. Our content included highlights, game play strategy, behind the scenes of the tournament, and supporting the hyper-engaged fandom. 

We built a robust content calendar with over 25 different types of content posts that we rotated through and optimized based on engagement and shares. The schedule of the tournament was hectic with tournaments being live streamed 3-6 hours per day, 3-4 days per week for 2 months straight. So we embedded our digital video team with the Supercell team and their live-streaming partners to create content and share it at lightning speed

Results

  • Organically Increase Youtube channel subscribers from 0 to 370,000 in 2 months

  • 13.8M Twitter impressions across the course of the tournament

  • 650+ pieces of unique content created.
